The Goenkas of Lakshmangarh-Sikar constitute a reputed family in the Marwadi society. This family has excelled in business and has spread its businesses across far-off countries. The members of this family have been followers of Shri Nathji Maharaj since many years. Shri Jaydev Goenka and his family members went to Sri Lanka to do business and stayed in Jafna for many years. There in the year 1950, when his daughter-in-law Shrimati Ginni Devi (Husband Shri Shyam Sundar Goenka and father Shri Jugal Kishor Ji Harlalka of Lakshmangarh) came to know from other members of the family about Shri Nathji Maharaj and his ashram in Fatehpur, her mind filled with questions and she started taking interest in facts about Shri Nathji Maharaj and his ashram.
As she says, probably by the grace of Shri Nathji Maharaj, one night when I was sitting with Kishan Ji on my lap and wondering abut the ashram which I had never seen, I had a sight of the only crematorium of the ashram along with the staircases and slopes on its three sides. There was bright light all around like a full sunrise, and I saw the huge body, large eyes and beautiful face of Shri Shri Amritnathji Maharaj. I got scared and switched on the room’s light. At that point of time I felt that Shri Nathji Maharaj’s hand was on my head, bestowing blessings on me. This feeling was scintillating. But it was just the first flash of Shri Nathji Maharaj’s blessings on his follower.
When I told her family members about this, they told me that I have had a sight of Shri Nathji Maharaj. The other astonishing fact was that my serious tuberculosis, which had no cure at that point of time, almost got well with the marvelous words of Shri Nathji Maharaj. Shri Nathji Maharaj bestowed all his blessings on my full family.
Sri Jyotinathji Maharaj acknowledged us as disciples after talking with the respected Guru Shri Shubhnathji Maharaj and kept saving us from troubles time and again. Some of those incidents were like gifts of life from Shri Nathji Maharaj.
When my second son Vijay was only 4 years old in 1958, his fever took a very bad shape and his life got saved only by the words of Shri Nathji Maharaj. He was saved again in 1964 during his stay in Delhi when he fell down from the fourth floor, but instead of landing on the road, got stuck at the red light on the first floor. It was a marvel that Babaji came to my sight right at that point of time. The most extraordinary incident happened in 1968 when Vijay’s life got saved again. It happened at the Delhi railway station when we went to see off a relative who had come from our native place and was headed for Kolkata. The train started off. Vijay managed to get me and the two children, Uma and Shankar, down, but could not stop himself from falling down under the platform. The train was Kalka Mail and it had picked up speed right as it started off. The compartments were actually running on him. The people screamed and the train stopped after 9 compartments had passed on him. Young Vijay was unconscious when he was taken out from the open space between two compartments. All I could say at that point of time was “Save my son, Shri Nathji Maharaj!” Right then four sages appeared there and took Vijay out from under the train. He was absolutely safe. They then took Vijay in their arms, led us out of the crowd, got us a rickshaw outside the station and asked me to go straight home and thank our tutelary god. They instructed to give Vijay hot halwa to eat and disappeared. I looked around but there was no sage out there. They were none but Shri Nathji Maharaj himself.
One more incident was of February 1986 when Vijay fell sick with a dangerous disease like black fever. The doctors gave up hope and continued with their treatment relying just on god. That very night the treating doctor, who was relaxing beside Vijay in the hospital cabin, crushed a scorpion under his foot, as if crushing the disease itself. The doctor said this himself and always acknowledged the fact later on. Shri Nathji Maharaj had given the boon of life. Vijay himself described it after coming back to sense. Four men in black clothes had come to take him off on their stretcher. At that time Shri Hanumannathji Maharaj himself arrived along with other sages of the ashram, put a foot in front of the stretcher and said “He is my follower. You cannot take him away.” The men in black clothes went away on hearing that.I bow hundred times to the great Guru!
My son-in-law Shri Ajay Kumar Ji Kandoi too had such a strange cure. His ulcer had gone beyond treatments. After all treatments failed, he started praying to Shri Nathji Maharaj, who cured him not with medicines but with kindness. The doctor himself said that it was not possible for this much of medicine to cure such a disease. It definitely was the blessing of Shri Nathji Maharaj.
Today my whole family is blessed with Shri Nathji Maharaj’s kindness. Today I pray to Shri Nathji Maharaj to bless my full family, their children, the coming generations and to be there for them. I pray that everybody be totally devoted to Shri Nathji Maharaj.
